Vibradermabrasion is a type of microdermabrasion, that utilizes textured paddles that vibrate to exfoliate the top layer of skin and stimulate collagen production. Vibradermabrasion can be performed on the face including eyelids and lips, neck, décolleté, hands and arms. We can also perform Vibrafusion, which utilizes softer textured paddles, to drive topical compounds into the skin, enhancing absorption. Your skin will be smoother and more hydrated.
- Chemical Peels
Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, or hands. They can be used to reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth, treat wrinkles caused by sun damage and aging, improve the appearance of mild scars, treat certain types of acne, reduce age spots, freckles, and dark patches such as melasma, due to pregnancy or taking birth control pills and to improve the look and feel of skin. Areas of sun damage may improve after chemical peeling.
After a chemical peel, skin is temporarily more sensitive to the sun, so we recommend you wear sunscreen every day. It should say “broad-spectrum” on the label, meaning it protects against UVA, UVB and in some cases IR rays. We also recommend you limit your time in the sun, wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat.
Skin sags, bulges, and more severe wrinkles do not respond well to chemical peels. They may need other kinds of cosmetic surgical procedures, such as fractional laser resurfacing, noninvasive skin tightening or soft tissue fillers.
